Inside a stone house by the lake, Lu Xuan was about to retrieve the custom-ordered beast meat when a high-level Qi cultivator approached.
"Junior Brother Lu, could you wait a moment? I have something to discuss with you," the cultivator said.

The high-level cultivator's expression darkened as he spoke.
"I'm only responsible for feeding them beast meat. I don't usually intervene in their activities," Lu Xuan responded coolly.
"Moreover, there are plenty of dragons in Thousand Dragon Lake. How can you be certain it's my dragons causing this?" Lu Xuan added with a stern expression.
"In the several fights that occurred, there was a double-headed dragon present. It's a rare species, hardly seen otherwise. Among the nearby waters, only your group has one," Senior Brother Li stated. "This double-headed dragon with its distinct featuretwo headscan't disguise itself easily."
Internally cursing at his recent strictness in controlling them and allowing assistance to fellow companions, Lu Xuan realized that the aggressive double-headed dragon found ample opportunities to dominate and bully many other beasts nurtured by fellow practitioners after he permitted assistance.

"These dragons, pythons, and serpents belong to different clans, varying in strength and even having natural rivalries," he continued. "To make them join forces against a dragon-like beast, could it be that the dragon did something excessively wrong? Shouldn't Senior Brother reflect on that?"
Lu Xuan argued cunningly.
"Yes, these dragons and pythons fight violently over a piece of beast meat even on regular days, engaging in incessant internal strife. How could they cooperate against an external enemy?" the high-level cultivator paused, momentarily stunned.
"Senior Brother, you're too kind. Is there something you need?" Lu Xuan inquired.
"Well, I've heard that in the process of nurturing these dragons, you extract blood from them," Huang Yuan said. "Personally, I believe these dragons belong to the sect and shouldn't be harmed. Besides, this practice might not be conducive to their growth. What do you think, Junior Brother Lu?"
"Someone reported me" Lu Xuan immediately thought of the senior disciple whose dragon had suffered severe injuries.

"Senior Brother, I have a question," Lu Xuan interjected. "If the ascension from the first rank to the second is a natural progression, would you consider the same for ascending from the second rank to the third?"
Lu Xuan's smile was enigmatic as he gazed at Huang Yuan.
"This Frost Dragon is quite opportune in its advancement. It's rewarding considering the many ice attribute
beast meats I've fed it in the past," he praised inwardly, acknowledging the Frost Dragon's ascent to the third rank.
