Chapter 431 Return the Payment
With excitement, her chest was heaving up and down as she found it difficult to breathe. She looked at Jack and asked, "What am I supposed to do for it to work? I'm curious about this thing that was able to make you who you currently are."
"It's not something that you can simply activate. It can be considered something that happens passively. In other words, the effects would always be there in case you are training, trying to master something or so on. Simply put, you get results a hundred times faster than others." Jack explained the understanding that he had gotten.
Celine looked at him brightly. If what Jack was saying was true, then, that implied that, if she wanted to master medicine, then, she would be able to master things a hundred times faster than the others.
As if knowing what she was thinking about, Jack shook his head and said, "This is not about being a hundred times faster than others. It's just that, you will be a hundred times faster than your normal speed, not about others. So, if you are always slow, then, your speed will be increased by a hundred times but there might be someone that is faster than you."
Celine felt a little disappointed at that. She had thought that she might be able to master many things like Jack had done. But in the end, it all depended on her efforts and potential. But, looking at the bright side, even in the thing that she was considered incapable of learning previously, she would be able to do that now.
As for those that she was good at doing, those were things that she would excel in. just thinking of the future, she was so excited. She then looked at Jack and asked, "So, how am I supposed to get it?"
Jack shifted his eyes from the road and said, "You already possess it. I passed it to you the moment that I got the chance. The only reason why I told you was to simply inform you about the advantage that you possess so that you can use it to the maximum."
Celine looked at Jack as she smiled. The bright smile that had appeared on her face would be able to captivate anyone that saw it, regardless of the gender.
Of course, currently, the love that Celine had for Jack had increased by another ten levels. Just from the fact that he gave the slot to her the moment that he received it, that implied that he had already planned to do that,
Celine looked at Jack silently as she finally resolved in her heart. 'This time, no matter what, I will never stop loving him. As for thinking about parting ways with him, that will be impossible. Even if he chases me away, I will not go anywhere, and I'll love him even in my next life.'
To Celine, it was true that she had never fallen in love with anyone other than Jack. But, that was just how she had finally begun and completed her journey of love. She had decided that the destination that she was going to stay at in love would be together with him. She was also happy that the first person that she had ever loved was someone that loved her just as much as she loved him.
As Jack continued driving, Celine began looking at her phone, trying to see if there was something that she could learn. After thinking about it for a moment, she decided that she was going to learn cooking. Since Jack had yet to eat something, then, when they went back after dealing with the guardians, she would cook for him. That way, she would be able to thank him as well as test the ability that he had talked about,
Samantha was seating on the backseat of the car had had been listening to the conversation between the two of them. She was at first surprised that Jack was not hiding something like this from her. But on the second thought, there was nothing that she could do to either of the two and neither was she their enemy.
Just thinking of the benefits that Jack was giving to those that were close to him, Samantha had already decided that she would stay by his side.
Of course, she was jealous of Celine. At the end of the day, it was not that easy to find someone that loved you unconditionally. But, even though she was jealous, it was not envy. There was no way that she was going to break the trust that she had been given for something that was completely uncertain.
Additionally, she knew that Celine was receiving all of this from Jack because she was his fiancée. As for herself, although she had not yet received much benefits from Jack, she was sure that she would be able to get it in the future.
Just then, Jack thought of something and looked at Celine before asking, "Are you ready to become a superhuman?"
"Huh?" Celine who was already scrolling through several recipes online was caught off-guard by Jack's words. It was not that she had not heard him, it was just that she didn't trust what she had just heard.
"Are you ready to become a superhuman?" Jack asked once again.
When Jack repeated what he had just said, Celine finally believed that she had heard him just right. But, she still couldn't understand why he was asking that question. Nonetheless, she still replied. "If I really have an opportunity to become a superhuman, I would definitely go for it as long as the cost is not high or beyond my principles."
"If that is the case, then I'm going to give you the opportunity to become a superhuman right now. So, tell me, what are you going to pay for that?" Jack asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Before Jack could react, a kiss had already landed on his cheek. He was completely dumbfounded as he had never expected that Celine would do something like that, simply because he had just asked for some payment.
Looking at Jack who was not reacting, Celine blinked her eyes twice. After that, she pouted and looked at Jack with a wronged expression on her face as she exclaimed, "Don't you dare claim that my payment is not enough! Otherwise, you will have to return what I have given you before I think of something else that can be used to pay you with."
Jack finally reacted. And with a speed that Celine could not react to, he leaned sideways and landed a kiss on her cheek. Looking at the completely flabbergasted Celine, Jack felt smug as he claimed, "Now that I have returned the payment to you, what else are you going to use to pay me?"
Celine's breathing intensified as her chest began moving up and down, attracting Jack's attention. Celine did not care about the gaze that she was receiving from Jack. Instead, she complained, "That's not fair at all. I kissed you with my lips. That implies that you will have to return a kiss that is from my lips and not yours!"
Jack smirked at that. Then, just as Celine thought that she had won, he leaned in once again and took her lips into his. Completely not expecting this, Celine did not know how to react to that. By the time that she reacted, Jack had already moved away from her before landing another kiss on Celine's right cheek.
Celine's ears turned red at this point. Previously, she had forgotten about the fact that Samantha was actually here. Additionally, a kiss on the cheek was not that much. But, it was completely different when Jack kissed her on the lips. She was embarrassed that it had happened in front of Samantha.
At the same time, she was both angry and pleased that Jack was so bold to kiss her without even asking. Most ladies liked bold men after all. Just as she was still thinking about the kiss, Jack spoke once again.
"I have taken the kiss from your lips and placed it on your cheek. That way, I have returned the kiss to you. So, how are you going to repay me this time?" Jack asked as he reduced the speed of the car slightly. With what was going on now, even if he was a superhuman, he might find himself driving the car into other cars on the road or into the bush, which might be somehow convenient.
Seeing that Jack wanted to continue being shameless, she snorted as she said, "What payment are you asking for? You are supposed to provide for me. Additionally, this can be regarded as payment for stealing my heart from me."
"How can you say that? You know that you stole my heart as well. So, it is fair that you have my heart and I have yours." Jack replied, speechless at how shameless Celine could be. But, he liked her this way, confident in the love that they had for each other.
Celine ignored Jack and looked at Samantha who had been fed much of the public display of affection between the two of them and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry."
She already knew about Samantha's love life. For that reason, she knew that they were reminding Samantha about the love that she was in but never got through.
"Don't mind me. you two can just continue." Samantha replied with a shallow smile on her face.
Of course, she yearned for love like the one that was between Jack and Celine. At this moment, she had decided that no matter what, she would only care about someone that cared and loved her. But, if there was one that just wanted to play with her feelings, then, she would rather not fall in love as love was not the best thing that happened to everyone. There were some that got hurt due to loving the wrong person.
At this point, other than these thoughts, there was yet another thought in her mind, did Jack really have the ability to make Celine a superhuman? If that was the case, then, could that be one of his abilities as well?
