Chapter 62 Skill Testing

"Telekinesis"

Small sounds leap out his mouth. No shouting, no energetic voice, the voice was completely lifeless.

Even though the voice didn't contain any emotion, the chant worked.

A spiritual thread escaped Roel's palm and zoomed toward the broken branch that was lying on the ground.

The thread didn't take a second to wrap itself to the branch.

Roel felt the connection between his palm and the branch like it was near his grasp.

As Roel raised his hand, the branch moved. It slowly leaps upward defying the gravity.

As the tree moved upward, a sense of exhaustion filled his body.

"My mana is small. I need to use it smartly."

Roel canceled the spell and the branch dropped down. Afterward, he took a deep breath.

He raised his hands and cast "Wind Control".

Suddenly, the wind stopped blowing as it was held by something. Roel felt the connection between him and the wind, as the wind was a car and he was the driver.

Like rotating a steering wheel, Roel also rotated his hands. As he rotated, the wind also rotated. As he moved his hands, the wind also moved.

But his control was extremely weak. He could only make a small tornado from the wind, and some fast-moving winds for an attack. Since it is an F-rank skill, it isn't that strong. And this only took 10% of his mana.

Roel's head was drenched in sweat. The sweat dripped from the forehead to the tip of his nose and fell on the ground.

"Fire Master"

...

Roel cast the skill but nothing happened. The silence in the forest intensified as he could hear his heartbeat.

Seeing this, Roel concluded. "If there is no fire, this skill is useless."

He denoted these powers as skills, since he had many and continues to get much power. So, it wasn't suitable for it to call a superpower, at most labeling it as a skill was suitable.

Now only two skills left to test.

Heal, as its name suggested, it will heal the wound. But it was an F-rank power, so its power may be weak.

Roel decided to check how strong this low-level heal is. So, he used telekinesis and carried the broken branch that was a little further away from him.

As the branch came to his hand, he held it and slice his hand. The branch wasn't that sharp, and not that sharp to separate the hand. It only put some scratch on the arm. The wound wasn't critical but blood continuously dripped from it.

"Heal"

He cast it without any hesitation.

Greenlight floated around his arms, slowly moving to the wound. Just as the light touched the wound, it got absorbed by the blood.

The blood instantly dried and started cloting the wound. The blood stopped leaking, and a small scar was left on the arm.

But the remaining light pierced the skin and started repairing it. The light got absorbed by the cell and the cell started producing itself like it was cloning. In just ten seconds, the scar disappeared. And the hand looked as new as if nothing has happened.

The whole healing process took 30 seconds at most. Roel frowned. The wound wasn't that deep and serious, so this time is normal.

But, the pain hasn't been subdued. The pain of getting cut is still lingering on the arm. It was like a thermos containing warm water. The thermos itself is cold, but the water inside is warm. Like that, his wounds have been repaired, but the pain inside is still there.

"So, it can heal the wound but can't make the pain disappear."

It was plausible since it was low-level healing power. It can stop bleeding, and disappear the wound but can't stop the nerves from preceding the pain.

The pain receptors continued receiving pain. The pain disappeared after 2 minutes.

Now time for his strongest power. "Super Strength"

Roel's body glowed dimly for some seconds. Unexplainable energy invaded his body, stretching his muscles.

His muscles didn't expand, but now he can use the full power of his muscles.

Roel's eyes fell on the tree, he walked there causally and tried to pull the tree. Of course, it wasn't easy as lifting a toy from the ground.

He used all of his strength. He could move the tree, but can't take it out from the ground. The root is deeply imprinted on the soil making it hard to remove it.

His constant moving and full strength caused the tree to slightly moved upward, but he can't still pull it above the surface.

He was nearly exhausted. 70% of mana was all used up. If he continues using his skill, then a maximum of 90% can be used. But, if he used more than that, he would pass out. If his mana is totally depleted, he will die.

Roel wiped his sweat and cancel the tree.

"The tree is pine, and it weighs 1000kg or more. So, the expectation of my strength is 200 or 300 kg."

Roel murmured and stopped casting skill.

Generally, powers that are used by superheroes are cast using the astral elements. Astral is an element that has existed in this world for a long time.

Power can be cast after using Astron particles, and mental power from the brain. As the mental power of a person is strong, the capacity to perform the power also increases.

But Roel power doesn't depend on Astron. As he came out of the void, he had gained a concept of power.

Astron powers are weak, whereas mana skills are powerful.

Mana is the improved version of the astral element. It is hundreds of times stronger than astral.

Roel could absorb mana naturally, his body is capable of that.

So, even if he is an F-rank skill user, he can use the skill hundreds time more than a normal F-rank user.

And his power is 10 times stronger than theirs.

Anyway, Roel has already packed up. Meaning, that he wiped his sweat and walked down to the bus stop.

He boarded the bus and walked to his apartment. Then he entered the room, ate the leftover food, and slept.

[Dungeon that is not protected by any organization]

-F-rank Dungeon (Unnamed) - Located at Mellow Forest

-F-rank Dungeon (Unnamed) - Located at Deep Valley Cliff

-E-rank Dungeon (Unnamed) - Located at Peak of Mount Chilavery

...

Many dungeons and their location are mentioned in the website 'DungeonPalace'. These dungeons located here are abandoned because they are very hard to reach.

Some are located deep in the forest, some hanging on the cliff, some at the peak of some mountain. And they are all low-level. Since high-ranked superheroes don't like to visit these small dungeons, and low-ranked superheroes don't have the time to come to these rural areas, these dungeons are practically left.

It's not like a dungeon will just overflow and the monster will come out, these event hasn't occurred. Dungeons are just resource sources for the government and money sources for hunters. Resource found in dungeons is used for many things.

And mostly high-ranking dungeons located in easily reaching areas are mostly where superheroes go.

Superheroes aren't what they are mentioned in tv, comics, novels, or anywhere.

Superhero go to dungeons for money, and save people for fame (mostly to hide their crimes) and some good superheroes are weak.

So in one word, rural dungeons outweigh the cons than the pros.

But for a new superhero like Roel who doesn't want to register themselves as a superhero, this dungeon is very useful.

It's not like the government is keeping track of every dungeon, and they also can't with now technology.

Anyway, with a knife in his pocket, and some survival items in the bag, Roel ventured to the dungeon.

After riding the bus for 10 hours straight, he reached his destination. Mellow forest, located in the corner of the country and is considered one of the huge forests where people are lost easily.

Roel looked at his phone and opened his GPS Map. He marked the dungeon location as his destination and started walking there carrying a bag.

He had covered his face with a mask and hood so his identity would be in clear for now in case someone finds him.

Walking for around 20 minutes, he reached his destination. A gate that looks like a gate of some mansion was there, covered with green vegetation. The other side of the gate could be seen clearly giving it a normal vibe.

Just looking at the gate would give the feeling that it is a normal abandoned gate in the middle of the forest.

Just looking at the gate would give the feeling that it is a normal abandoned gate in the middle of the forest.

Roel stares at the gate for a moment. It didn't look anything special, and its original color was unknown as it was covered with green all over the place.

He walked toward the dungeon and touched it. The green vegetation made it sticky and smooth to touch.
