[Entrance Ceremony Preparation]
We started preparing the venue for the entrance ceremony in the auditorium after hearing about today’s schedule from Mr. Walter.
This was only my second job after becoming the student council president, but I never imagined the student council president’s workload would be–

“Hold up your chin. Reina wasn’t that capable from the beginning.”
Mr. Walter comforted me, giving my shoulder a gentle tap.
“Really?”
“Hey, why would I get from lying to you?”
“But she worked hard and gave this student council president gig her very best until the very end,” Miss Teixeira chimed in next to Mr. Walter. I almost couldn’t believe what they said. In my mind, Reina was always a perfect woman, even at home, but… it seemed that wasn’t the case.
“She started to really pull her weight when you enrolled. She’s made not even a single mistake since then. Maybe she wanted to be a reliable older sister to you?” Mr. Walter said.
“Indeed, she’s changed a lot after you came,” Miss Teixeira nodded.
My enrollment, huh…
I guessed I’d ask her in person the next time I went home. Then again, she was a knight now, so it wasn’t certain she’d be home, then.
“You’re doing good enough, Barrett,” remarked Mr. Walter.
“Yeah. Your growth is unbelievable compared to last year,” said Miss Teixeira.
“Yes! Barrett has grown a lot!” Tayte chimed in.
“Ahahaha…” I could only let out a dry laugh.
Me a year ago, in other words, the original Barrett… had been a real mess. Tayte knew it best as my fiancée. Given that she had been freaking out just because she had been late by one minute… I could only imagine how badly the original Barrett had been treating her.
Just then.
“Lord Barrett!”
“Could we borrow you for a moment?”
Raul and Kleine came.
“What’s up?”
“The principal asked us to give this to you,” Raul said as he handed me a document.
“Huh? From the principal? What’s is it?”
“The list of the new students, apparently,” Kleine answered.
The list of the new students, huh.
Now that I thought about it, I didn’t have any info about the new students… not that seeing their names would give me any other info besides that, names.
With that in mind, I looked over the names written on the list, and…
“Hmm?”
One of the names caught my eye.
The name was—Pilar Azveed.
“Pilar…”
I recognized the name.
–I mean, why wouldn’t I?
She was… a member of Raul’s harem in the original storyline.
“? Is something the matter, Lord Barrett?”
“N-no! Not at all. Okay, let’s get back to work.”
“““Right!”””
“Hahaha! It sure is nice to be young!”
“Exactly.”
We resumed the make preparations for the entrance ceremony in a merry mood… but there was a storm brewing in my heart.
Immediately after that nightmare, one of the remaining two members of Raul’s harem in the original storyline showed up.
I had a bad feeling about this…
