Ryan spent his entire first year at the Neodrazzil Travelers Academy only focused on one thing, theoretical content. Since he never had the possibility to become someone strong, the only evolution he could have was through books. This was the only answer he had.
His studies were so intense that no one but the teachers and librarian Olivia knew his name. He didn't approach other students or waste time with events and study groups, always sticking to books, his only possibility for evolution. As much as he felt lonely with that way of living, now, it was somehow giving him opportunities. But with all isolation, difficulties arise.

Both Alice and Sara's cheeks were reddened by the situation, but they seemed a little happy. Sara stayed hugging Ryan's arm while Alice came much closer to him, her thigh slapping against his body. Even though the blonde's face was neutral, her red face was still extremely cute and beautiful.
Ryan's notification screen started to go up with much more intensity, a lot of the students in that room were commenting about him. Still, he just chose to ignore it, as the threatening glances, the ones intent on killing him, remained at only five.

The bell rang, and then a teacher walked in to teach the gate theory class. She had long black hair that fell to her waist, large breasts, and a tired look on her face. She was wearing a long black dress, which still did not hide even a bit of her curves, the dress had a neckline that showed off the girl's beautiful white skin. Her eyes were as red as Ryan's, and her skin was as white as the snow or the moon. Her dress was of black fabric, with leather details, and even by the standard of the academy professors, she stood out.
This teacher was a vampire and an expert in energy magic, a master in the art of portal creation. Her name was Sylvanna Lullaby, one of the highest ranking professors in the academy, she had a young appearance, being only twenty-five years old. As much as she was not as strong in combat as Lyza, Sylvanna was an SS+ rank portal mage, outclassing the Queen of Flames by some distance.
As she walked towards the board, she yawned with sleep and fatigue. There were stories that she had become a vampire simply so she wouldn't have to sleep anymore, the problem was, vampires need sleep too. That elegant gait of hers was gone in seconds, she fell to the ground, banging her head in front of the whole class.
* Tuk* The sound of her body plummeting onto the teachers' platform echoed through the room, as everyone looked at her with a worried look.
"Don't worry, I'm just, a little tired" She said, in a monotone tone of voice. Getting up, she yawned and stretched, as she began her lesson.
"Today I'm going to teach you the basic theory for portals, how they work, and how to create a basic portal. In the next class, you will create a quick escape portal" She then began to explain.
In the human world there are three types of portals, fixed, variable and impact-derived. The fixed portals are portals that connect the human world to a dungeon that never ends, these dungeons always have monsters and enemies, as well as always giving interesting drops and loots. With each floor, the difficulty level of these dungeons increases significantly.
Fixed portals usually appear only after an impact. The variable portals are small gaps between the two worlds that appear randomly, they can be white, blue, green, red or black.
Impact portals are giant red, black or purple spheres that appear, sending monsters into the human world. Not only are these portals much larger in size, but they are connected to much more intense dungeons and challenges, so far no impact portal has remained fixed in the human world, and it is always possible to close it after eliminating all challenges within the energy sphere.
Understanding these systems is what created portal magic, an art that involves manipulating mana to create rifts in space connecting two specific points.
As important as these lessons were, the only thing Ryan could pay attention to was Sylvanna's status window. He was on the lookout for the possibility of winning her over, but a different piece of information was bothering him.
