You Can Stroke It Back (3)

Qin Yuan sat there with a straight posture like a pine tree, unlike many boys who liked to slouch. He lowered his head and said, “Mm, you guys should go. I will review for a while.”

The people inside the classroom had all gone. Under the bright light, the shadow of his tall nose bridge hid his face. He appeared calm and focused.

After half an hour, the lights inside the school building were simultaneously turned off.

He packed the books on the desk and walked out alone. The emergency light on the corridor was brightly lit and the light green color reflected the bright moonlight outside.

He looked into the window on the first floor while walking on the small path toward the dormitory.

Whenever he returned and looked at his own dorm, it would always be dark.

He had to come home to the lonely house every weekend. It was always ice-cold and pitch-black without any hint of liveliness.

But now, it was brightly lit and looked like others’ lively dorms as if someone was waiting for him to come back home.

When he opened the dormitory door, the bright light assaulted his senses. On the desk beside his bedroom table, Ruan Qingmu was engrossed in something.

His black hair was slightly wet and it seemed like he had already finished taking a bath. He had also changed into a tiny tank top, revealing his fair arms that looked like pure white jade.

When he returned in the past, the dorm’s light was brightly lit, but this person had always laid on the bed early as if he lacked sleep more than anyone else. This was not the first time Qin Yuan saw him like this.

Qin Yuan walked over and looked over his shoulder, slightly fixing his gaze at what his roommate was looking at.

It looked like he was looking at an English book’s word list.

“You’re memorizing the words?” He placed his schoolbag down on the floor.

Ruan Qingmu turned his head. His pair of eyes were clear and bright, lacking the tiredness from before. “Hmm.”

Qin Yuan was silent for a while. He reached out to his school bag and took out a small notebook. “I just happened to sort out the old notebooks and found this.”

He placed the notebook on Ruan Qingmu’s desk and casually opened it. “This is the junior year’s basic points that I summarized back then. If you don’t mind, you can look at it.”

Ruan Qingmu blankly stared for a while at the book before him.

He accepted and opened it, then silently flipped through the book for a while.

The key points were prominent, the knowledge points were concentrated, and the prone mistakes of someone with weak basics were all there. Though this was so, it was apparent that the practiced cursive writing on the pages was extremely beautiful; it was both neat and upright like an English copybook.

Ruan Qingmu looked at the book for a while without saying anything.

After that, he raised his head and the corner of his mouth slightly raised. “The great class monitor Qin’s notebook is very well-written.”

Qin Yuan indifferently stood up. “Mm. It’s good if it’s useful.”

Just as he was walking to the bathroom, Ruan Qingmu suddenly asked from behind him, “How many hours did you spend writing this?”

Qin Yuan paused his steps and his straight back slightly stiffened.

He turned his head and there wasn’t any expression on his handsome face. “What?”

Ruan Qingmu looked at him. There was no hiding the crafty look in his gaze. “This notebook is brand new.”

Qin Yuan stood there with a strange expression on his ‘as handsome as jades’ face. A trace of red was obvious under the excessive bright light that appeared on his cheeks.

“You’re wasting your talent as the sports representative.” He indifferently said, “You should run for the student council’s head of discipline. From my understanding, your ability to detect the finest details will be a great asset.”

He turned his head and slammed the bathroom door shut.

Listening to the rapid sound of water turned to the max, Ruan Qingmu leaned on the desk, looked at the notebook, and let out a stifled laugh.

This was an old notebook written one year ago in a girl’s handwriting. Oddly enough, though it was a used book it still looked as good as new. It was weird how the notebook was in such good condition.

When Qin Yuan came out, Ruan Qingmu had already climbed into bed. He leaned against the bed head while looking at something. His pair of white shanks swayed behind his body. They were slender and thin and swung carelessly. His beautiful toes were slightly stretched taut.

Qin Yuan glanced at them and quickly retreated his gaze. He climbed up the handrail onto his bed.

Across the blue mosquito net, he was indeed looking at his notebook.

Ruan Qingmu raised his head and smiled. “This is really useful. Just like it’s specially made for a remedial student.”

Qin Yuan’s expression didn’t change and he didn’t respond to anything. He lifted the corner of the mosquito net and extended his hand in front of Ruan Qingmu.

Ruan Qingmu looked at the QR code on his phone. “What?”

Qin Yuan indifferently said, “My WeChat.”

Ruan Qingmu was stunned for a while before he laughed.

He hurriedly groped out his phone from under the pillow and scanned the QR code. With a ‘tick’ sound, the opposite approved the friend request quickly.

“You can ask me if there’s something you don’t understand.” Qin Yuan lowered his eyes and his voice was gentle, but the corners of his phoenix eyes were a bit sharp. “If there’s an urgent matter on ordinary days, you can also look for me.”

Ruan Qingmu blinked. “WeChat is so slow, ah. You also don’t like to look at your phone. How about giving me your phone number?”

Qin Yuan didn’t raise his head. “The WeChat number is my phone number.”

Ruan Qingmu dialed it once and the opposite phone indeed rang. He hung up the call in satisfaction, scrolled, and opened Qin Yuan’s WeChat profile.
