The notification messages started flashing in front of me and every single goblin shouted out, "Kill her! *Kikiki!* Kill!" before charging towards me.

As the last notification message flashed in front of me, I slashed down at the last goblin with my two-handed sword – Hjordis.

Faylen walked out from behind me. "My house is that way," she said as she extended her right arm and pointed her finger in a direction. I looked in that direction and saw that it was the direction from which Jin the slayer came out of.

I sheathed my weapons, looked at Faylen and took her left hand with my right hand. She looked at me.

"Let's go, Faylen," I said.

Faylen smiled and nodded her head. "Mhm," she said and we walked towards her house. But before we reached it, we passed a lot of dead elves and wooden one-storey houses with broken round windows and shattered single doors. And when we reached it, I saw that it was the largest house of the entire elven village. It was three-storeys high and instead of round windows, it had square windows. And instead of a single door, it had a double door. But just like the other houses, this house's windows were broken and the door was shattered.

I looked through the house's shattered double door and saw two corpses. But unlike the other corpses, these two didn't have holes in their stomachs and they were not surrounded by their own insides. Because of this, I showed a surprised expression on my face. At the same time, Faylen let go of my hand and ran into the house. A notification message flashed in front of me.

>

I approached Faylen who ran up to the two dead elves, got down on her knees and started shaking them while shouting out, "Mommy! Daddy!" The first time she shouted out those two words, they were very loud and very clear. The second time she shouted them out, they were still very loud and very clear. The third time, they were not as loud but still clear. It was also at this time that I stopped behind her. The fourth time, her words were neither loud nor clear. I got down on my knees and tightly hugged her from behind. The fifth time, it was not a shout but a mumble and it was through tears. The sixth time never happened, she never shouted out or mumbled those two words for the sixth time, she just cried in my embrace until the sun rose from the horizon.

"I want to bury them," Faylen said in a barely audible voice.

"Alright," I said as I nodded my head.

Faylen and I buried her parents. Not only them, but we also buried all the dead elves. Then, we looted the goblins. From them, I got 55 silver coins and two > 2-handed swords. After that, we gathered all the goblins in one place and burned their corpses.

"I want to see my parents one last time," Faylen said.

"Alright," I said and we walked to their graves.

Looking at Faylen's parents' graves in front of me, I closed my eyes. 'May you rest in peace.' I opened them and looked at Faylen. She wore a sad expression on her face while looking at her parents' graves.

"Faylen."

Faylen looked at me. "What is it, big sister Astrid?"

"Do you want to continue living as an elf or do you want to be reborn as an alvar?"

Faylen slightly tilted her head to the right. "Alvar?"

"They are the ancestors of all the elves."

Faylen looked at her parents' graves for a few minutes and then at me. "I want to become an alvar!" she said with a determined look in her eyes. "I want to become strong enough to protect both myself and those that I care about!"

I opened the menu and from it my inventory, I pulled out the book > and closed both my inventory and the menu. Then, I extended the book to Faylen. "Read this book and say, "Alvar."

"Okay, big sister Astrid," Faylen took the book from my hand and opened it. After reading it, she spoke out the word, "Alvar!"
