21 Leaving the elven village!

An eighth of the second passed since Faylen spoke out the word – "Alvar", and both her appearance and status information changed. Her hair colour changed from dark-green to snow-white. Her eye colour changed from sky-blue to amber. Her ears grew a little bit longer. And her skin became even fairer than it already was. She was now the most beautiful little girl in virtual reality and outside of it.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"I feel, I feel different," Faylen said and smiled. "I feel the magic in the air, in the ground, in you and in myself. It's making me feel very strong. So strong that I think that I can protect both myself and you from any one or any thing."

I started patting Faylen's snow-white head with my right hand. "You are wrong, Faylen. Even though you are now an alvar, you are still not strong enough to protect yourself from any one or any thing, let alone me." I stopped patting her head and moved my right hand away from it. "But you can help me."

"Mhm," Faylen said as she nodded her head.

I extended my right arm towards her. "Give me the book," I said.

"Okay, big sister Astrid," Faylen said and extended the book > towards my extended arm.

I took the book from her hand and stored it into my inventory. Then, I looked at Faylen's parents' graves. "Say your last goodbye and we will go," I said. Then, I opened the menu and from it my character.

After looking over my attributes, I allocated 48 points into Strength, 16 point into Dexterity, 32 point into Intellect, 32 points into Constitution, 16 points into Spirit and the last 16 points into Charisma.

I looked over my changed attributes.

I closed my character window and opened my talents. I looked at the next talent of my shrine maiden class.

I allocated 9 skill points into the talent > and unlocked it.

I closed my talents window, the menu and saw Faylen looking at me with her amber coloured eyes. "Ready?" I asked.

Faylen nodded her head. "Yes, big sister Astrid," she said and we made our way out of the elven village and the forest. But the moment we walked out of it, I saw a blue blob, a slime.

I looked around and saw blue slimes in every possible direction.

"What are those blue things?" Faylen said.

"They are called slimes. And just like goblins, slimes are monsters. But amongst the many monsters, they are by far the weakest ones," I said and thought, 'At least that's how it was in all the fantasy MMORPGs that I played.'

"Just like goblins," Faylen mumbled and then said, "I will help you kill them, big sister Astrid."
