Chapter 148 - Regret (2)

Regrets. Everyone has regrets in their life; a lot of regret. Sometimes they try to let it go and sometimes they just cry alone thinking about it. Life is never happy, it's a mixture of everything. It's on us whether to cry about that regret or let it go.

For Rayn he didn't want to let those regrets go. He will correct his mistake no matter what happens in future. He ran to his son's room and knocked at the door. 

After knocking for some time, Cailin finally opened the door. As he thought he was crying. Tears flowed down his chubby cheeks, Rayn bent down on his knees seeing those tears. 

How can he be so cruel to his own blood? Rayn hugged him tightly. 

"I am sorry, I am sorry. Dadda is sorry." Rayn apologized to him continuously. Tears flowed down from his eyes regretting the evil things he had done to them. 

Cailin patted his back and tried to comfort Rayn. He didn't like his dad for leaving him and their family alone but he was his dad and that can never change. And mom has taught him to never hate his father because it was only him who will think about them after her mother, and he had his blood and blood relations thicker than anything. 

And his mother's teaching is never wrong, he will always do what his mother teached him. 

"It's okay, dadda. I am sorry too." Cailin apologized to him back. Rayn didn't even know whether to be happy and proud of his son or regret and guilt about how he treated him. 

Rayn smiled and rubbed his tears and looked at Cailin,"Let's go to your momma." Rayn held his hand and went together to the hospital. 

Cailin was curious where they were going but he was also excited to see his mother. During the whole drive, Cailin looks out of the window, curious to know where they are going and also eager to see his mom. 

Finally they reached the hospital, Cailin had no idea why they were there. 

"Dadda, why are we here?" Cailin looked at Rayn and asked him. Rayn stayed silent and grabbed his hand tightly. He was afraid to tell him about what happened to his mother. 

Rayn silently took him to Quin's room. It was a VIP floor, so there were not many people except the guards assigned by Rayn to protect Quin. 

Rayn opened the door and let Cailin enter the room. Cailin saw his mother on the bed weak and pale. He stood rooted to his place for some time. He wanted some time to take the information in. He stood frozen to his place until Rayn shaken him a bit. Sobs left his mouth, he ran towards his mother and wrapped her arms around her and rested his head on her belly, as he cried his heart out. He can't stop sobbing. He was scared, scared to lose her. 

"Momma, please wake up. Cailin will be good from now on." Cailin said as he shed tears for her. 

Rayn can't stop feeling guilty after seeing that scene in front of him. He left the room, unable to see it. 

If only he could go back in time and change it. He would definitely change it, his greed of becoming the heir of H company and marry Sara for that purpose and hurting his love and mothers of his kids, how stupid he was.

He can't stop thinking about how much he has tortured Quin from the time they were together. Yes, it was a good thing that she left him. He was not someone to get a second chance in life but he didn't want her to leave him. Yes, he was being selfish but he wants to be selfish for her. Was he that evil? So evil to ready keep her in a cage no matter if she was happy or sad staying in that cage.

"Momma!!" He heard Cailin shriek and instantly ran inside. Quin opened her eyes, Rayn immediately ran beside her. 

"Quin are you okay? Can you hear me? Quin!" Rayn holds her hand and bombarded her with a lot of questions. Quin didn't reply anything; she just asked for water in a weak and hoarse voice. 

Rayn helped her drink the water and soon after drinking she fell asleep again. When the doctor checked he sighed,"She is better now, but needs more time to wake up. And congrats she is pregnant." He said to Rayn. 

"W-What" Rayn astounded on hearing what the doctor said. Quin was pregnant? He was happy hearing it but at the same time sad that she will never accept that child from what he did. 

"Yes, she is pregnant but she is having too much stress. It's not good for herself or for the child. When she wakes up try to comfort her." Doctor patted Ryan's shoulders before leaving the room. 

Rayn, still amazed hearing the news that she was pregnant, he bent down and sat on the floor and held her hands and kissed it lightly. 

Quin, I am sorry. I know I have always hurt you, I am a jerk, a bastard, a monster but this monster never realized his feelings for you. Even when I forced you to sleep with others, you never slept with others except me. You were always unconscious when that happened but it was always me. I can never allow others to touch you. I am sorry for being a jerk and hurting you. I never want you to forgive me but will you forgive me if I say these to you. I love you Quin but don't fall for this jerk. I am not qualified for your love but will you give me a chance to change it? 

Rayn wanted to say all those to her in loud and clear words but he couldn't. He felt his voice was stuck when he went to try to say. He peeked on his hands and rubbed his tears before leaving the room.

His son stayed there unable to understand what was going on there. Why his dadda was crying looking at his momma and what the doctor said. He can't understand anything, he can only hope that it was good news not anything bad.
