Chapter 174 - Bullied

"Mm." Sara nodded looking away from him. Her cheeks were bright red from the sudden kiss.

Michael saw her blushing, he smiled amusingly,"Get some sleep." He said, patting her head, and placing a kiss on her forehead.

He got up and was about to walk out, when she grabbed the ending of his shirt. "Can you sleep with me?" She asked, lowering her head, she was afraid to see alone.

She felt like someone was looking at her from somewhere, even if there was no one in the room except the both. She felt like the nightmare of her was going to come back again and this time she may not be able to escape it.

What if the devil comes back? Would she be haunted by that nightmare again? No, she doesn't want them. She wants to be happy like now.

"Are you afraid?" Michael asked, patting her head. She didn't say anything, she stood silently.

Michael sighed softly, she was still not ready to tell him, does she still can't trust him? He felt stabbed thinking she may not trust him even after so many months.

He still smiled, and laid down beside her and closed his eyes and asked again.

Sara was surprised by him, he didn't even question why she asked him to sleep beside her.

"Are you not going to ask?" Sara questioned in a soft voice.

"Why? You are not comfortable to say, why should I ask?" Michael replied, before closing his eyes again.

Sara smiled hearing his word, she laid down on his c.h.e.s.t, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"I got into an accident a few years ago." Sara said after a few minutes of silence. Michael was surprised by what she said suddenly. But he didn't say anything, nor move. He stayed silently, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

"When I was up from the coma, I saw him, Lucifer. He was leaning above me. On seeing me awake, he stroked my cheeks. I was too shocked to say anything or move." Sara stated, as tears continued to roll down.

She was about to continue, when sobs left from her mouth. Michael couldn't hold it anymore, he patted her head,"No need to say, if you are still not comfortable. Tell me when you think it's time." He said, stroking her hair gently. Sara just nodded to his words.

She thought after all those years, she was strong enough but every time she remembers her past she can't stop her fear hovering over her.

Lucifer, the person who was the cause of all her fear, the cause of her nightmares, he was the devil in her life. She wants to forget everything about him but she can't, it always comes back to her, reappears again and again, clearly.

Those nightmares are the mirror of her past self, which she didn't want to look at but it haunts her no matter how much she ignores it.

Michael's heart wrenched, seeing her crying, and holding him so tightly. It was subconsciously, how much that person scared her that she was so scared.

He wonders, how was she living like this for all these years. He doesn't care what he did to make her so scared of herself but he will never forgive that person.

Sara fell asleep after crying for sometime, Michael put her on the pillow, looked at her. Tear marks were still on her face, he clenched his hands in fury. He stroked her cheeks, remembering what she said, and that was the beginning; he still didn't know the full story.

"Don't leave me, I didn't do anything." Sara mumbled in her dreams, holding his hands tightly.

"I am here, I am not leaving." He stroked her head, gently to comfort her. He was going to ruin the guy who did to her.

After Sara let him go, he tucked her well, before leaving the room silently.

He went to his study and called Andrew, who was still working overtime because of Michael's wrath earlier.

He looked at the call, and got a hunch that more work was coming. He didn't want more work, he still had to finish all the reports from before.

Knowing if he didn't accept, he was going to get more. He sighed in his bad luck before picking up the phone.

"Hello boss," he picked up the call, and tried to be sweet as much as he could.

"Find about someone named Lucifer who knows Sara." Michael said without beating around the bush.

"Boss but I don't have time, I still need to finish the reports you gave early." Andrew acted like the poor one who was bullied in his workplace.

"Pull all nighter than." Michael replied coldly before cutting the phone.

"Hello?" As always before Andrew could argue, Michael already cut the phone not waiting for the reply.

"You are a devil! I will not work, I quit!!!" Andrew yelled on the phone.

"What happened?" Jennie asked from behind, she was trying to ignore him after the incident but seeing him in trouble she couldn't.

Hearing her voice, Andrew turned back and saw Jennie. She was not working male attires, she was more radiant and beautiful. Andrew had never noticed that she was so pretty and beautiful.

He remembered what she said that day, but when he told her he was not her boyfriend, she left without saying anything.

He couldn't understand what she was saying, he even followed her to ask but she was gone and these days whenever he tries to talk to her, she always ignores him.

"Andrew?" Jennie waved her hand in front of his eyes, to wake him up from his thoughts.

"Huh?" Andrew looked at her muddled.

"Why are you quitting?" Jennie repeated her question.

"Because I am being bullied." Andrew said with puppy eyes. "See these, he gave me all these reports to finish before morning and now one more work. It's abuse." Andrew said.

Jennie can't stop her chuckle, seeing him like that. He was like a cute kid who was complaining about him getting getting bullied in school
