[Reina’s Feelings]

Reina’s graduation ceremony was only a month away now.

In the meantime, I had more opportunities to visit the student council room after class and I swore the handover process was draining me.

I mean, I never imagined the student council would build up this much paperwork in just a year’s term… and I had to review it while sorting it out. Looked like I was going to have my work cut out for me.

But fortunately, I wouldn’t be doing such jobs myself.

I had received word from the principal that she had done selecting the new members of the student council.

And to my pleasant surprise, Tayte was going to be the vice president.

“M-me? The vice president?!”

Tayte was very surprised too, but… thinking about it, it was a reasonable choice. She had excellent grades, and according to the original storyline, she was going to be hailed as a saintess in the future—in fact, she was already starting to show glimpses of qualities expected of a saintess. I was guessing a part of the reason Principal Abigail appointed her was that she had sensed the signs. I mean, she was really sharp.

In addition to her, our class president Kleine was selected to be the treasurer.

Kleine always had a calm and dignified attitude, but she couldn’t hide her surprise upon hearing the news. But her girlfriend (?), Melia, was elated to hear it and she herself must have liked the idea as she immediately regained her composure and accepted it.

Incidentally, Kleine seemed to be a hardcore fan of Reina.

A part of the reason she initially had been so hostile to me was that the original Barrett was too deplorable, and the other part was because she had been unable to accept that such a guy was the younger brother of Reina whom she admired. That was why she couldn’t help but be so harsh to me.

That said, her attitude toward me had softened considerably these days.

I hoped I could use this opportunity to get closer to her… of course, as a friend.

Raul also joined the new student council as a secretary.

A wielder of a Demon Sword like him was rare not only in the country but also the whole continent and the principal had also received a personal request from the Holy Knight Klaus. He wanted Raul to join the knights and by joining the student council, he would be able to make connections with the nobility, which would be a tremendous help in his work as a knight in the future.

The final member was Patrick, the merchant’s son who used to bully Raul under the original Barrett’s orders, though they were good friends now. He was appointed as the public relations officer.

–And so, five people, including myself, would form the new Astor Academy student council.

“I’m glad.”

““Huh?””

Reina put her elbows on the desk with the nameplate ‘Student Council President’ on it and mumbled while looking at me and Tayte, who was helping me sort out the paperwork in the student council room.

“That came out of nowhere. What’s up?”

“Well, I was overjoyed when the principal told me that you would be the next student council president, but at the same time I couldn’t help but worry.”

“Can’t blame you… compared to you, I still have a long way to go…”

“You misunderstood me. You’ve already had your plate full with being the leader of the Knights of the Academy, which was just formed… I was worried that adding the work of the student council president would be too much for you and that you would overwork yourself.”

“Reina…”

I never imagined she would be that concerned about me…

“But it looks like it was a needless worry. You’ll do just fine as long as you have Tayte with you.”

“Huh? Me?”

“Yeah. You always support Barrett by his side like you do now—learning that set my mind at ease.”

“It’s only natural! I’m his fiancée, after all!”

“Hahaha! That’s reassuring to hear! Now I can graduate with peace of mind!” Reina said, smiling with satisfaction.

–I was sure she had a bright future ahead of her.

Sir Abel, who was supposed to die in the original storyline, was still alive, too.

…May your life be full of happiness, success, and love, my sister.
